January 26, 2015

Hello my fellow loved ones! :)
Sounds like another successful week in the pool, court, and snow! :) Good Job Callie for killing it in your bball game...Jimmer better look out! :)
This week was AWESOME!

Update on Ivy- she is doing great! She has a strong testimony of the gospel and she is praying about when she wants to get baptized. She is having some "speed bumps" with her boyfriend not wanting her to get baptized but..we are working through it. We fasted all together that she could know what to do... she is incredible though and I love her SO much!
Oh my word....let me tell you how much Heavenly Father blessed us! We were able to get 7 new investigators this week! Whoo! :) And half of them are referrals...so they are pretty solid!  Students are settling down a bit and can think straight! (Well at least a little..it's Purdue and all of them are smarter than their own good!) :)  But we were so blessed this week with such good lessons and things starting to be like they are on campus! We have a mini zone conference and exchanges this week so I am excited about that! :) PS...I get to go on exchanges with Sister Warner! HAH! I am so PUMPED!

One of the things I will always cherish forever on campus is talking to the Chinese students and teaching them how to pray...oh it is my favorite thing! This week we met two girls named CC and Samantha (those are their American names obviously!) haha and we told them about who God was and that we could talk to him and they were so surprised! We taught them both how to pray and we told them that He listens when we talk to Him. We had both of them say a prayer right then and there and the look on their faces were priceless! They couldn't stop smiling! :) They were so happy and they said they felt so good! WHOO! I love it! We are meeting with them this week and I am anxious to see them when they hear about Jesus Christ is our Savior! :) BEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

Well, I love you all so much! I know God really does hear and answer our prayers and scriptures are a way of peace and comfort. I take great comfort in those simple principles of the gospel. I love you all and am so grateful for each of you in my life!

Dear MI FAMILIA!
How in the world are you all? Sounds like one of the best weeks ever! Buzzer shot...(good job Al...making me proud! - now WRITE ME!) Brenny sounds like you are killin it too! WOO! Good job Clegg boys! :) Harrison and Mccall..I am expecting about the same report from you since rec ball is starting up! :)
Cass is HOME! Weird! I saw the pictures and boy was that one of the happiest things ever! I loved it! I have been praying for you a lot Cass Cass! If you want to come to Indiana..I have an extra name tag?? :) (oooo not a bad a idea???)

This week was a great week! I titled this email "I have a dream" because of my good friend Martin and also because it was a dream come TRUE to have all the students back on campus! I almost shut down when we first went out to talk to students because there was so many people I forgot what it was like! :) haha but, I quickly remembered that I don't love anything more then Purdue! :)

We taught a lot of lessons and it was good to see everyone again...a lot of our gators were a little overwhelmed this week with school so we are hoping that next week will be a little better with consistent meetings with our gators! But, none the less it was wonderful! :)
Oh and exciting news...Sister Warner (my trainer) got transferred and she is in my stewardship! This is her last transfer and she lives right below us and so I am so happy! It is so fun to see her everyday! :)

Well, family! I love you more then ever! This week I have leaned on my Savior more then I can tell you and I want to bear my testimony of the power that comes from trusting Him. I have changed just this week because I have trusted my Lord and Savior more!! I am so thankful for the sacrifice He has done. I not only believe in Christ but I BELIEVE CHRIST! And I am so thankful for the transformation that occurs when you let Him "save" you.

I love this gospel!!  More then words can describe. More then anything. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior, Redeemer Jesus Christ.
Ether 3:2
I love you!! Have a wonderful week! :)

Hello everyone!
Man...what a big week! Cass...you get home! I just want to let you know how much of an example you have been to me! Your service and your love for the Savior has lifted me and helped me sooo much! I will be praying for you and hoping your adjustment is smooth. I too don't know how I feel about the day I step off the plane...thank goodness it's not for a while! :) Everyone give Cass a hug for me...will ya?? :)
Transfer update------SISTER HUNT AND I ARE BOTH STAYING! So, we will be serving together for 4 and half months! We were so pumped! You should have seen us when we got the call...we were acting as if we won the championship game!

This week was incredible! One of my favorite weeks! We got to go to the temple and boy was that the best thing in the entire world! We went to the Chicago Temple. We got to do "sealings" because we accidently got there an hour early (who would have thought the first time I did sealings was on my mission?) haha!!! Then we did a session- the temple was perfect! I have never learned so much at one time and it felt like heaven on earth to be there with such wonderful people and place! Then we all went to lunch and had such a wonderful time! We got to walk around downtown Chicago and it was snowing...it was a dream come true!! I was soo thankful for Michelle! (A member that took us that is just my favorite person!) It was such a special, sacred day! :) The Zone leaders got to come with us as well and that was a blast!

Lunch afterwards with Michelle who took us!! Love her!!!

So, I don't know if you remember the story about frozen yogurt and the amazing experience we had with the "He is the gift" video in the yogurt place? Well, we got "Amy" as a new investigator and we have been teaching her ever since! She has been progressing really well since then! She is actually in the 3rd ward boundaries so we will have to pass her off soon... but I am so grateful I have been able to be apart of her journey! This week we taught her about the Book of Mormon and I will never forget that lesson! EVER! We went through the pictures at the beginning of the book and up until this point she has just been soaking it all up! She was loving the story of the Book of Mormon but, as we turned to the page of Christ appearing to the people in the Americas, Her face dropped and she gasped for a huge breath of air. The room filled with the spirit and it remained silent. She began to tear up and she told us she never knew Christ came here. She remained speechless. We bore testimony that He did and of His love for us and she bore testimony right back...she knew the Book of Mormon was true!! She accepted a baptismal date right then and there! I wish I could describe how much it meant to me to see her face light up the way it did. I wish I could say and describe the way it felt in that room that cold winter night, but I can't. I will forever be grateful for that experience. I love The Book of Mormon. I love the power it has for good!! It is a way to transform each of us! How thankful I am for that sacred book!!

We were so blessed with such a special week! Last week on the streets..this week its back to CAMPUS!!! whhhhoooooooooooooo! We cannot wait!
Love you all so much! You are all the best! :)

Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd :)

3 Nephi 17:17...Christ still prays for us..every single day and don't you all forget it! :)

Whooo!
Hello my fellows! It is getting real here... and by real I mean CHILLY!!!! haha Pray my feet don't fall off! :) Cass has it a lot worse so I just remind myself of her and then I keep working! :)  This week!!! Oh where to begin! New Year! So, somehow on our Preparation Day the Dellingers (our recent converts from Westfield)  got permission from President to take Sister Hunt and I down to Westfield!!!!!!!!! It was soooooo much fun!! We went to the Indiana State museum and had dinner at their house... but it gets better! As I was chopping vegetables up for dinner,  Sister Dellinger said, "Sister Clegg there is someone here who wants to see you!" I turned around and THERE WAS DIRK!!! I was sooo excited I could have died! Then they JUST KEPT COMING! Carlos and Beverly Fernandez came, The Wirtz, Fishburns, The Yosts, and so many sweet people all surprised me and came to say hi! It was the best day of my life! Everyone was so kind and it was one of the most humbling and thoughtful things ever! I was on cloud nine!!! I didn't realize how much I missed the people in Westfield!!! It was so fun! Uhhh...mmmm I am still on a "high" because it was so great! That is how I started out my new year! haha YES!
The Surprise Party at Westfield with my people I love!!!

We had an exchange this week and we found a family and 3 other new investigators!! I think people feel bad for us because it is freezing outside so they let us in but HEY...whatever works right?! Then they can't deny the spirit that the message of the restoration holds! Boy I will never get tired of sharing the first vision! It is my favorite thing to share with people. All were miracles and I was so grateful for this week!

We also had MLC- which was really good! We talked about spiritual integrity and remembering what we promised while we are out here. It was so good and I am excited to be able to take what we learned and apply it!! We have zone meeting this week!
In my studies this week I have been obsessed with the two words..."knowledge and understanding!" It has been very influential to me. I learned that we have to have knowledge...that is the first step, but then what makes a real difference is when you turn that knowledge into a understanding. Like for example...we as missionaries have a knowledge that we have to knock on doors...but do we UNDERSTAND why we knock on doors. The same can be applied for principle of the gospel. We know that we should keep the commandments but, do we UNDERSTAND why we should. I have loved learning more about the difference and looking for them in the scriptures. Maybe study it a little this week... it is awesome! :)

Well, another week not on campus due to no students....and knocking on those wonderful Indiana doors...but I UNDERSTAND why we do that... so I am PUMPED! We also have some meeting and a really also a really special treat...Sister Hunt and I get to go to the temple with President and Sister Cleveland and a YSA member!  We are so spoiled! :)

I love you all and I love this work!! I receive no greater joy!
You are the best! :)

Love,
Sister Clegg
