December 29, 2014

Wow!
That was the best week of my life! Christmas was so special and being able to talk to you all was the best! I will truly never forget that day. The Birth of Christ!! What a meaningful holiday to me!!

We were able to find 2 new investigators this week...YES!!! AND WHO GO TO PURDUE! Oh man! We went tracking and guess who opened up those wonderful Indiana doors? Two students! Heavenly Father is the BEST!!! :) We taught both of them twice already and both committed to be baptized if they found out if it were true! It was a wonderful miracle! We then had exchanges and found 2 new investigators with the sisters as well! BOY --- I LOVE MISSIONARY WORK! :)

I just want to bear my testimony about the Love I have for my Savior and Father in Heaven. I know that without them I am nothing. I really do know that, and they make up everything good in this life. I know that Christ's grace is sufficient. To heal, to give hope, to feel joy, to purify, to sanctify! Heavenly Father, I know, knows us by name and cares for us!! They both contain all the compassion in the entire world and I hope one day to have a sliver of the love they have for us.
I love you and am thankful for this week! I am excited to go to work! Holidays were fun but, its time to invite people to come unto Christ! :)
OFF TO A NEW YEAR....I wonder what miracles are ahead?? I love you! :)

Sister Clegg

WOW!
Holy...I can't wait to talk to you! I am sorry but time is very short today....but I will call on Wednesday to figure out a time for Thursday!

This week was a wonderful week! Campus is dying down but...God continued to show forth his miracles. Wednesday night we had a group of less actives and recent converts all come get frozen yogurt. We had a wonderful time and everyone was fellow shipping each other really well! Miracle is though that two friends came with our less actives! So, as we began to talk we started talking about what were some Christmas traditions we all had and the conversation naturally turned towards "He is the Gift" video. So, there were are in a frozen yogurt place and our less active pulled out her phone and started to play the video. The shop all of a sudden turned silent and everyone's attention was on the video. The spirit entered immediately and there were quite a few tear filled eyes. We talked about Christ for a while following the video and left with two different return appointments as a result. The Lord is mindful of our goals despite finals week! :)

Ivy did not get baptized which was sad... but one thing I have learned is you can not let those things affect you...you have to keep pressing forward.
Ivy wanted to wait just a little longer. She bore very sincere testimony of the gospel and knows it is true she just worried about rushing a little. So, she is going to get baptized after Christmas break! She is truly the best! I love her! :) Pray she will be safe over break! We are going to skype her and continue teaching her! :) When we talk over the phone I will tell you more about her! :)
I love you all and can not wait to see and hear your voices! WOOOOOOO!
I love you!

HELLO MY PEOPLE FROM THE WEST!

Sounds like it is crunch time for school and all that good old Christmas Traditions...I saw the picture of Elfy that McCall sent.....He is going kind of crazy this holiday year ugh!? :) So dang cute!  Sipping syrup in the pantry- what an elf!

My week went really well! Watson received the priesthood and he cannot wait to pass the sacrament next week! We are also going to get him started on Family History because we just got the word that we can go to the temple with a recent covert if they have family names! (Boy the church is smart!) So, we are really hoping to be able to go do baptisms over the break! :)

Ivy is doing awesome and she passed her interview and will being baptized this Friday at 11 am right after her final! :) WHOOO! I am so excited for her!!! She doesn't get much better! SHE IS SO EXCITED! BOY LIFE IS GOOD! We were very blessed this week and Peng, Ivy, and Brian all came to church! Also, we put Erica (girl from the soccer team) on a baptismal date and she is progressing really well! :)

We had the coolest personal contacting experience this week! Brother Garner (The institute teacher here on campus) really helped us out in this regard!!  We were able to set up a hot chocolate stand on the corner of the Institute Building and we had a members computer and just played and replayed  "He is the Gift!" It was awesome! There were so many people flocking for something warm to drink! Sister Hunt and I were having a hard time keeping up! It was a huge success and we are excited to do it again soon! :) We were able to talk to almost 15 students within an hour and we got a lot of new investigators!  I LOVE THE CHRISTMAS SEASON! :) All these people want to meet after Christmas break though so that makes it a little weird and hard to wait...but, that is okay! God got them once...He can do it again! :)

Well, this is going to be a GOOD week! We have Mission Conference! (Yes...the WHOLE mission is getting together!!! ) and guess who has to speak........?? Ya......this is so awkward. Pray for me!! I am so excited to see everyone in the mission though...It really is Christmas! :)

Speaking of Christmas... Read 1 Nephi 11:18-24 and read how Nephi feels the Christmas spirit! :) :)

I love you and I just want to let you know.........I GET TO TALK TO YOU IN 10 DAYS!!!!!!!!

I love you and am praying for you always! :)

Love,
Sister Clegg
Our Hot Chocolate Day!!

(This is an email we got from the Institute Teacher at Purdue University...so sweet!)

Hi,
My name is Ryan Garner and I am an Institute teacher and director at Purdue (West Lafayette Institute of Religion). I just wanted to send you a note to let you know how grateful we are to have your missionary serving here. They have been in my home , I see them nearly every day, and am so very grateful for their goodness! They are consistent in their efforts to share the gospel and are blessing many lives. They recently set up a hot cocoa stand and played “He is the Gift” and interacted with students going to and from campus. It was a joy to watch! I am attaching a picture here and will send a couple of additional pictures in separate emails so that the data is not overwhelming to your email box. We love them and understand why you do too!

With Gratitude for your sacrifice in preparing and sending them,

Hello My family!

How are you all? You all sound like Basketball and the seasonal activities are keeping you busy! That is so great! I am so happy for Torrey and Andy that they got baptized this last weekend! They made the best covenant in the world! :) I am so proud of them! Baptism means so much more to me now - what a special day! :)

Uncle Alan- Happy Birthday tomorrow! I hope you have a wonderful day! I love you with all my heart and I miss you! I pray for you and your family every single day. You have influenced my life in more ways then I could say. You are the best "Uncle Dad" there is! :)

Boy...May I just say this was one of the most rewarding weekends of my mission!? The spirit was overwhelming and it was humbling to think how the Lord and Heavenly Father are willing to bless us with as much as He has! :) Watson got baptized on Saturday and that was soooo special!! The spirit there was undeniable and he bore his testimony at the end. He talked about how he knows this church is true because of the Book of Mormon and "our eyes".  He said the "eyes don't lie" in his cute Asian accent! It was so sweet! He could see the light of Christ and he really does shine with it now! :) Love that!

Watson, Sister Hunt, and I

Another miracle was that Ivy came to the baptism and she is sooooo excited for her baptism now! :) She is incredible! She was perfect from day one! She is getting baptized this coming Friday. Sister Hunt and I found her together and she never has had Word of Wisdom issues, and fell in love with The Book of Mormon instantly! She truly was what missionaries pray for! She was rubbing her cheeks because her face hurt from smiling so much! Talk about someone receptive to the truthfulness of the gospel!

We then continued to be blessed and had three investigators come to church! Ivy, Katie, and Peng. All are doing great! We had some wonderful miracles! I cannot speak really about the way I feel but, I just want to say I know God knows us and loves us, with such an unconditional love. He blesses us when we do what we are supposed to! We truly have been given a "gift" and I know that the ultimate gift is Jesus Christ. There is not a day that I am not influenced by that gift! I hope I can be the best "receiver" of the gift and take good care of what has been given. I love My Savior, He is my everything!!! I love you all and am so thankful for you! You are incredible and I love and miss you! Thank you for your prayers and thoughts! I can feel them and they are working! :)

Love you!
Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd

P.S.
Answer to your question- Over Christmas break we will be assigned to our sister's areas during the break...we have clearance to come back and forth to teach the students that will still be here but, we are mainly going into the other sisters areas. (Back to good old TRACKING!!) haha!! I love it and can't wait!!

December 1, 2014

Hello everyone!

Sounds like your Thanksgiving was incredible! I am so glad to hear that! Everyone looked happy and full of life in the pictures! Papa you deserved everything that happened! You are truly an incredible person and how I got you as my Papa..I will  never know!! I continue to ask myself questions like that every single day...Why me?...How come I am so blessed?? None the less, I realize I am so blessed and am grateful! I too must give!!

This week was wonderful! It was a little slower but, we continue to personal contact on campus and find the ONLY people on campus and work as hard as the amount of people would allow us too! :) We actually had three investigators come to church though and so we were very blessed in that regard! We are progressing with a lot of people and we are excited for another transfer that we get to stay together!  Watson is getting baptized this Saturday! He is incredible! One of my favorites! YAY! Ivy came to church for the first time and then Peng and Dominic did as well. Dominic is still there...we are just letting him have his agency on everything! (Which is really hard for "pleasantly persistent" little Sister Clegg) But, we are just letting him go and go as he pleases ...as we love him and let him come to know truth!!

I just want to bare my testimony on the power of the Atonement. I have a talk I want you all to read "His Grace is Sufficient" By Brad Wilcox. It will change your life and give you a great perspective  on the Atonement! I know that Jesus Christ is everyones Savior. I know that all things that seem unfair or wrong can be made right! He is the gift! He is the hope! He is the only way!  I love Him very much. I know he is my best friend. He knows how to succor his people. I love Him and I love my Heavenly Father!

I love you all!

Alex and Brenny good luck in your bball games! Alex dunk it for me will ya?? Brenny try to not to rip your jersey because of your muscles....(You did win best bod ya know!)
Love you!

Love,
Sister Clegg

P.S.  ALSO EVERYONE --- WATCH "HE IS THE GIFT!"   :) (Mormon message!)

November 26, 2014

Holy Smokes!
It's THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAPPY DAY OF THANKS!

Man...I don't really know where to start ....but I do want to start with saying I am so thankful for Thanksgiving! What a beautiful holiday! A day of Gratitude! There is nothing more important in life than acknowledging what God has given us! :)

Well, last week was a very "humbling" week for me. ...Story time.....so we had a fireside with all the YSA's in the ward on Sunday night and as we were finishing up and heading home. We may or may not have had a snow ball fight with all the members! So, we were all going at it and before I know it Sister Hunt was down. I ran over and she had gotten hit in the eye/head area. It really hurt her and so we went home and I tried to be the best nurse I could be...but she was so light headed and felt like she wanted to throw up. Well, long story short...she got a minor concussion and that was not her first concussion she has ever had so our mission nurse told her to rest. So......that meant she slept and I had about 50 million different companions last week. A member would go be with her while she slept and I tried to continue the work as much as I possibly could and members were my companion as well. Boy did I rely on the Atonement, because missionary work "by yourself" is pretty hard but, WE DID IT! All because of Christ. It was a humbling time and I learned a little more about the Atonement. Sister Hunt it all good now and her normal weird self! Thank goodness.... I missed her! :)

OKAY MIRACLE  OF THE WEEK!!
So...I don't know if you remember me telling you about Sitan?? We taught her my first week on Purdue...She was the girl from China, who didn't even know about God and our lesson with her was absolutely incredible! She was so hungry for truth! So, we had a return appointment with her and she even had a baptismal date...but when the appointment came...she did not. We called and texted her and nothing. Well, we continued to every once and a while text her..and nothing.Well, I prayed every night for a month that we could find her again! AND GUESS WHO WE FOUND JUST YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!????? What a miracle...we were just talking to students on campus and we saw her and nearly grabbed her right then and there! What are the odds???  There are thousands of students on campus...but the Lord answered a prayer! God lives! YAY! We taught her and she said she lost her phone and got a new number...so we are back in business now! mmmmm...miracles! I LOVE THEM!

Well, I just love life! It really doesn't get much better! I miss you all but, the "sacrifice" of being away is the least I could  try to do for the amount of blessings I am receiving! I love my mission! It has been a special miracle in and of itself! I love you all and am so thankful for you! You are the best! :) I love my Savior. I love Heavenly Father with all my heart. I have a testimony of what I am doing and that it is true! Because I have been given much,...I too must give! :)
Love you!!!!
Have a wonderful week and please pray that someone will be on campus over break that we can talk to!!! haha Love you!
Love,
Sister Clegg :) The third.... :)

P.S. CONGRATS ASH ON THE RING! Proud of you girl! You are the best! Another one bites the dust........ oh boy! haha Love you!

November 17, 2014

Wow........I literally do not know where to start this email???

Bey.......WOW.....a engaged woman....and we thought this day would never come?? haha Jk I am so, so, happy for you! Little weird...its going to take a couple years to sink in...but, non the less I am happy for you! I cannot believe we are old enough to do that??? haha Brenny and Alex- Congrats on Basketball! I love that! I bet you two will never forget being able to play on the same team together! I am proud of my boys! :) Harry and Callie- I love you both so much! Sounds like you two are just living the life! :) Austy and Aimster- YOU are the best! :) DAD AND MOM- I MISS YOU BOTH MORE THEN EVER- BUT I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Papa- Happy Birthday tomorrow! You are the best! I love you so much and I am so blessed to have you as a Grandpa! You continue to change who I am and what kind of missionary I hope to be! You are one of my Heroes! I love you and Have a great day! I love you! :)

This week........ Okay....Sad news Dominic didn't get baptized......he is getting fed Anti material right and left and it has totally shut him down. We have read the Book of Mormon with him everyday and he committed to get baptized this week...but please pray for him. He is really letting the adversary win. I know this is God's work though and everything will work out the way it is supposed to! This is not my work...that is for sure! Zone meeting and exchanges were awesome! Heavenly Father blessed us a lot and everything went great! I learned a lot! :) The college class went really well! Not going to lie when we were walking there I was SO SCARED!!!  Then I realized that I know what is truth and that is that! So, I said a prayer and we went in! We taught church history for about 15 minutes and then we had 45 minutes worth of questions. There were some awesome questions. We gave them our number and website and I have been praying I will get to run into some of the students on campus! :) But, everything went really well! :)

Umm....Watson (one of our gators) is doing awesome! He is so humble! He is preparing and will hopefully be ready for his baptism! :) December 6th. All of our investigators are doing really well! Dominic is struggling but, I trust God.

The weather is getting colder! Holy Moly!  Snow and let me tell you..personal contacting on campus in the winter....we are going to have to get creative! Haha Non the less...we were blessed with another wonderful week! :)

Dad...it was so fun to eat with Bishop Cramer....he couldn't stop telling me how good of a missionary you were! I told him I didn't expect any less! :) :) STUD! :) 30 years ago you were companions in Spain! Crazy!!

Well, this week will be great! we have interviews with President and another exchange! I love you and am so thankful for all that I have! I know this work is God's work. I know God is real. This is the true church and it has been restored to its FULL truth! What a blessing! I love you Family and Friends! More than I can say! You are incredible! I love you!

Love Sister Clegg the 3rd :)

Nov 10, 2014

HELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOO! What a great week for everyone! I am glad to hear that! :) Sounds like you are all doing really well spiritually! That what is important! :) Well, this week was really good! We had MLC, and two exchanges! This next week we have some meeting, two exchanges, and we are teaching a class at Purdue about our church history and then we will open it up for a hour for questions about what we believe...so stay tuned!!! This is going to be good! :) MLC was awesome! I learned so much....just when you start to think you are "getting" missionary work, Heavenly Father always throws that curve ball to help you learn and progress (which is one of my favorite things about being a missionary by the way!) We are learning a lot of new things these next couple of transfers in preparation for the temple and ipads that are coming so that will be great! We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and we did this activity where each companionship took a page of the Book of Mormon and read it. We read as a whole pages 1-14 of The Book of Mormon and then we each had to share what we learned and what revelation we received. IT WAS AMAZING! Who would have thought that there was so much council and divine inspiration in 14 pages of a Book!? It must be of God....? :)))) Exchanges were awesome! I was with Sister Place on Saturday in Lebenon and we tracked basically the whole day......ya....(I forgot what is was like tracking all day...I am used to campus ALREADY!) haha But, we had some really fun times and good laughs. EXAMPLE- We knocked on this lady's door and we began talking to her and all of a sudden she cuts us off and says...."Boy you two are awfully pretty for not believing in the American Flag!" haha! Oh boy....what will they think of next......I laughed (accidently out loud) and told her how 4th of July was my favorite holiday!!!! :) Haha Man! I could go on and on about how many good, funny things happen on the mission! :) Sister Hunt and I are having a blast...with a good blend of working hard! :) Dominic is getting baptized this week! We are so excited for him! :) Please pray for him...he has a lot of outside forces beating him up....Satan is not letting up, but WE CAN DO IT! :) He is the best!:) Well, I love you all! good luck in tournaments, tests, meetings, games, missionary moments, and whatever else there is! :) I love you and think the world of you all! :) LOVE YOU!!!! Love Sister Clegg

Nov 3, 2014

Hello FAMILY!

Mondays....are great days! :) Alex and McCall sounds like you killed it in running! YAY! I am glad that you are living the dream! :) I got to run everyday this week! Ya.....that hasn't happened in about three months....so it was like HEAVEN ON EARTH! good job team!

What a great week! Sister Hunt and I have laughed harder then I have in a long time! Boy oh boy! Good times..... :)
Purdue life is treating us well! We got 7 new investigators this week and we have 4 on a baptismal date. Dominic, Sitan, Ivy, and Peng! We are hoping to put a few more on this week! They are all so great! I love all of them...but then again, I instantly fall in love with anyone and everyone! :) But, they are just so special to me! :)

Ummm.....lets talk about Dominic this week! Dominic is getting baptized November 15th and he is the best! We have met with him a lot! He loves science and so having faith has been a hard thing for him, but he is pushing through and truly does see the fruits and it doing awesome! He is living the Word of Wisdom now and loves researching about EVERYTHING! He has run into a lot of anti stuff (problem with college students...they are researching ALL the time....so we preach mormon.org just as much as the gospel!) haha!  But, we had a wonderful lesson with him last night about faith and teaching him to focus on the core values and beliefs. At the end, he told us that he knew it was a commandment to get baptized and if he waited till he understood everything he would never get baptized...I then shouted "THAT'S RIGHT!!" I was so proud of him! He is going TO GET BAPTIZED! YAY!!! I love mission life! It is so happy!

I am learning so much....but this week I just want to tell you how much I love you all! It's all about LOVE and I just love you all. Time is flying by, but treasure every moment! I know the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on the entire earth! I know God lives and loves us. I am thankful for Indiana! I LOVE it! :)
Love you!

Love,

Sister Clegg :)

October 27, 2014

Hello Family!

How are you? Sounds like everyone had a good week! Grandma Daw Happy 95th birthday! Wow! I can't even tell you with the 95 years you have lived how much you have impacted millions of people. I continue to be changed for the better because of you and I love you very much! :) Happy Birthday!!! I will be thinking of you!

Alex...GO GET UM AT STATE! Yay! You are going to do awesome! I will be praying that you will take it all home! :) Love you and good luck!

Well..I would imagine you would like to know where I am at? Who I am with...and What am I doing? haha! With transfers last Wednesday...a very understandable question!!!

I am serving on campus!!! I am at Purdue University and I love it! I cannot tell you how much campus life is so much different then family wards.....like night and day! All of a sudden I don't know how to be a missionary! haha!! But, I am learning slowly but surely! :)

My companion!!!! (Dad remember that one time when you told me a girl from the BYU Soccer Team is going to the same mission that I was?) YEP....SHE IS MY COMPANION!! YAY! Sister Hunt from Bountiful, Utah. This was an answer to a prayer! We have worked out every morning and we are like two peas in a pod!  I love her! I am so excited to work hard of Purdue's campus! I believe President Boren went to grad school here?

Well, some miracles....boy where do I begin!? Campus is so different! All of my mission I have served in areas where it is a pretty high Christian ratio. All of them had a believe in Jesus Christ or at least were very familiar about who He is. Here on campus...not the case. There are a lot of people here from China, who have never even heard of Jesus Christ or God. It breaks my heart. But, I have gained such a different perspective on truly how special the knowledge and how much I will treasure the fact that  I know what God is and that there is one!

We were teaching a girl named Sitan this week and she had no religious background nor belief and as we were teaching her about God and that He know her, her eyes lit up in a way that I will never forget! She was so hungry for truth! She kept on saying REALLY! WOW! She asked if she could pray to God anytime and as we answered yes, she started crying.  We then told her about the Savior and how He has felt everything she has and that she was never alone. She was filled with such hope! As she walked out of that lesson, I couldn't help but, to kneel down and offer a prayer of gratitude! How grateful I am to know God lives! How grateful I am to tell her that God lives. How grateful I am to know truth! I will never, ever forget that. It was a mission changer for me.

Well, Miracles like Sitan happen everyday here on campus and guess what I GET TO DO? Tell them that same wonderful message everyday! Man...life doesn't get much better then that! I am truly so happy! I miss Mishawaka....but campus is going to make me a better missionary... so I am excited!
I love you!
You are all the best! :)

Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd :)

Hi Family!!!

Sounds like you all had a great week! I am glad to hear that!

Ed's Baptism was the best! One of my favorite days on the mission. He bore his testimony and boy was that one of the most rewarding things to hear. He is truly converted. I love him!
It was a very special day for Sister Evans and I.

Well, news that I was not expecting…I am leaving my dear sweet Mishawaka. I have loved every second of it. It has truly been a dream come true. I have loved serving with Sister Evans. I have loved the ward and all those I have taught.

I do not know where I am going but, President has asked if I would be a Sister Training Leader. I know the Lord works through the weak and simple. I hope I can be who the Lord wants me to be.

Well, I am so sorry this is short. I love you all and am so thankful for you! You are incredible!

Love Sister Clegg

P.S.  Dad…Dirk is doing really well! I call him about every two weeks and we write every week. All is good! Happy for him! Tim is doing great too…he just got the priesthood ! Nora is getting her p-blessing! All are doing great! Love you!

October 13, 2014

Hello Family and Friends!
Hope you are all doing well! Sounds like you are all loving life....Just the way it should be loved! :) Thank you for your emails....transfers are next week...so we will find out on Sunday night who and if we are leaving!! Sister Evans will be leaving for sure because of her knees....she is going to a doc in Indy, but as for me..I hope I stay in the land of the Indian Princess..Mishawaka....But, I will go where you want me to go dear Lord.

We got to watch "Meet the Mormons" this week! All the stateside missions saw it and it was really good! I think that it will be really good for everyone to see...members of the church are very normal! :) Plus, have a love for the Savior! I think that was a nice blend.

Ed is getting baptized this Saturday! Boy am I excited! He is just an awesome man! He has such passion and I have never heard of an investigator with a testimony as strong as he has of the Book of Mormon! It is touching...he has blessed me so much! I love ED! How blessed I am to be a part of that miracle! :)

Dennis, Pat, and Ed were able to come to church this week and boy was testimony meeting powerful!! All four of us missionaries were able to bear our testimony and there were some testimonies given that were answers to prayers! I will never forget that testimony meeting. It was a POWER HOUSE! Prayers are always answered when we ask sincerely, with real intent, and with faith. <3

There is not a day that doesn't go by that I don't gain a stronger testimony that this is God's work and He is constant. He preforms miracles yesterday, today, and forever! :)

This miracle is sacred to me...we were teaching Rob, who is a very humble man and he knows very little about the Savior. He was raised in Chicago and had a very hard up bringing. He is what they call "from the hood" : ) But, his girlfriend is a member and we just have hit it off and he is progressing really well! He has a baptismal date and I believe in him!  We were teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, focusing on repentance and never have I been in a lesson like that. The message of hope could not be denied as we taught him about the Savior and His suffering. He was so filled with light as we told him that he could be forgiven. We shared the story of the prodigal son and the spirit filled the room, there was a long pause and he looked down, and slowly as he raised his head tears filled his eyes. He said .......I am the prodigal son, I have made a lot of mistakes and that is my story. I want to come home.  We then were able to bear testimony that because of the Savior we can repent and be forgiven.  We told him of God's love.  He was so excited and you could tell a burden was truly being lifted. Never have I ever had a lesson on repentance like that. That was a sacred lesson to me and words to describe it could not do it justice but, I am so thankful for the Savior. What hope we can have everyday because of HIM!   I love Rob and I know he has a REAL desire.

This was a special week for me...I was able to reflect on how much I have learned, grown, and been filled with gratitude. I end each day seeing so many miracles and tender mercies of the Lord. I know God lives, this is His work. I LOVE praying to my Heavenly Father. He listens and more importantly He cares.  Romans 8:39

"We are not physical beings having a spiritual experience on this earth rather, we are SPIRITUAL beings having physical experiences..." Live in the world but, not of it and that is when we can fulfill our full potential and God's plan for us. :) This is where we find JOY!

Love you all! Thank you for the prayers and support! You are incredible! Sorry..if this was to long?? I got excited!

:) Love

Hola FAMILY!

What a great week! Closing weekend for Redfish! What a great year it was! I am so glad! God answers prayers! Good luck Dad as you will be so busy closing up, blowing out the water, and locking up that beautiful place! Get a few weekends up there all by yourself though will ya?

Holy Moly....I can not believe that Brennen is going to be 18 years old! I keep questioning how old I am...and try and convince myself he really isn't going to be 18! Wow! Who gave you the right to have another Birthday? Wow! I will be thinking of you and will be singing in the shower at the top of my lungs a real special birthday song for you! :) 18??? Really?

Well..... What wonderful sessions of conference! We were able to have 4 investigators come to conference. (Pat, Rob, Ed, and Dennis) We also spent a couple sessions in members homes which is what it is all about! So many good lessons are taught in the home!

Dad you asked for a little update on how everyone is doing.....

Ed is doing really well! He texts us a countdown till his baptism and is truly so so excited! Sister Evans and I are praying that we will be able to stay to see more of these people go for a dunk...but I will go where you want me to go dear Lord.  (I just hope he wants me to stay here in Mishawaka!)

Dennis is progressing every time we meet with him! He bore his testimony this week of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. He just has not put all the dots together to realize that THAT IS WHAT MAKES THIS CHRIST'S CHURCH! We have told and taught him multiple times, but he has to gain a personal testimony of it. We will continue to pray and work with him! I Love him!

Pat...being a little stinker...she cancelled on us this week again. I instantly called her and asked her what was going on. We had a little "chat" over the phone and ended the conversation with another appointment for today. So, please pray for us! (She teasingly called me a persistent little brat!) haha! (You would have to know that it is just her personality but, non the less....I thought it was hilarious!)

Rob...we extended a baptismal date to him for November 29th and his response was..."of this year?" haha I laughed and said Yes!!...of this YEAR! He said he would and that we are brave for the challenge we are about to face! haha!! I LOVE CHALLENGES! :) I love Rob!

There are lots more..but Dad..we only have so much time! :)

Something I really learned over conference...or at least gained a personal testimony of was the importance of family and how blessed I am to have to the family that I do!! I was raised the way the prophets and apostles ask us to raise families. I was given the ultimate gospel teachers and examples in the walls of my very own home and how blessed I felt as I watched conference!! I couldn't help but to get emotional when the Brother in the Saturday morning session said the closing prayer and asked a blessing upon the missionaries parents and grandparents. That touched me. How grateful I am for my family who taught me what joy was... and the blessing of living the gospel!!  I am so thankful for my parents and grandparents who taught me the most important things! How lucky am I?  I much like Elder Bednar's talk explained...I am on my mission for the exact same reason that little boy brought out the ointment  for all his friends...because I have been blessed, and I desire others to feel of those same blessings! How thankful I will always be for my family and for the chance I have to find families here in Indiana.

Well,.. I love you! Happy Birthday Brennen and Mackenzie! I Love you ALL so much!

Love,

Sept 29, 2014

GREETINGS!!
Sounds like you are busy and happy! Good way to be! :) Brenny..I am proud of you! You are a STUD! Homecoming King!!! Alex... I love and miss you like crazy! I am expecting an email this week or else..... Austy and Amy I love you both so much! Will you go play some ultimate frisbee for me this weekend while you are in Redfish? Harry and Callie...You two are the best! Write me and tell me how school is going okay? And Daddio and Mama.. you are the best as well and I love you so much! Good luck with closing up the Lake! Burry the treasure in a good spot for Brennen's Birthday this year okay? :) haha Love you all! :)

What a good week! It felt good to be in my area and work. We are running really low on miles this week so...we have been trying to work as hard as we can with the amount of miles we have on the car. Sister Evans is a good sport. Sometimes I forget to rest and Sister Evans is a good companion and supports me but kindly reminds me to slow down! I have never really been good at that. Still working on it! :)

Ummm ....Where to start? Every week is filled with miracles and learning experiences, and time flies by so quickly that things are running together!  Don't worry..I am keeping a good journal. :)
Um...We starting teaching a man named Rob... and I LOVE HIM! But Rob..is a great man and He has a lot of changing but...the atonement was made for just that...change!

Ed is doing so well.  He went up to Bishop yesterday and told him to announce his baptism in Sacrament meeting!  He is so sweet and I truly love him. He is so obedient and humble! :)

I will tell a miracle that happened this week! Sister Evans and I felt so prompted to go to one of our investigators house last night. We were already VERY tight on miles...but we knew what we were feeling was a prompting so we acted on faith and went. We knocked on her door and she cracked the door open. (which is not typically like her...normally she welcomes us in with so much love) We said hello and told her we missed her. She still remained fairly cold with us. I asked if I could come in and give her a hug...she let us in and we asked how she was doing. She looked at me straight in the eyes and said "We need to talk." My heart dropped and I knew it couldn't be good. She sat us down on the couch and she told us she was not getting baptized November 8th (her baptismal day.) I quickly said a prayer for help and guidance and asked her what was going on. She addressed some concerns and we tried to really understand where she was coming from. We then explained the reason of why we extend baptismal dates...letting her know it was a chance for her to act in faith so she could receive an answer. She understood a little better and her face was beginning to soften. We testified boldly of the importance of this message and how we didn't want her to go another day with out the truth. The spirit was so strong and I was so grateful for the spirit filling my mouth as I spoke. God blessed us. We left with two appointments set up this week and a smile on all of our faces. I know that what was said and what was felt...was ALL because of the spirit. I am grateful we went in faith to her door. She would have dropped us and we would have lost her...but God loves all of his children. It was a touching experience for me, I love Pat with all my heart and I am so glad the spirit took care of things.  This was a humbling experience..I knew what "Sister Clegg" was going to say would not have saved her...but because of what the spirit said...we can and will continue meeting with her. Thankful for the Lord's hand in ALL things!

Well, I continue to be blessed and loving my life as a sister missionary! There is no greater calling and I have gained a real testimony this week of the spirit, President was inspired to speak with us on the importance of the Holy Ghost.  I have been able to teach, testify, and find better this week because I am leaning more on the spirit. I am thankful for that! I love you and hope you are all prepared for General Conference! There is no better weekend for a missionary than GENERAL CONFERENCE! Come with questions and watch revelation flow! :) Love you all!
Love,

Sept 24, 2014

Hello!

Wow...What a week!!! I can not even tell you how AWESOME this week was for me! We had a
General Authority come and speak to us!! (Elder Perkins) and I got to go to Westfield to watch Tim get baptized...PLUS SEE THE WESTFIELD WARD!

Ya...If I could really describe this weekend to you..well I would but...I can't do it justice, but I will try!!! So, On Saturday the Dellingers (Tim's family) came and picked Sister Evans and I up. They were so sweet! It is basically 3 hours away and they came and got us! We talked the whole way and Tim said that he was excited to come pick up his daughter!! :) They just took me in as if I really was! :) We stopped to get a bite to eat and then headed to the baptism. Tim was so happy and he truly looked lighter when he came out of that water! He said he felt so good and didn't want to do anything in fear that he might mess it up! Haha (He is one of the most humble people I have met!)
After the baptism...we got to stay with the Dellingers at their house! It felt like home! It was so great! Then the next morning we all got ready for church and what magic that was to attend my old ward! All of the people that I love SO much! Poor Sister Evans was such a good sport to just watch me hug all these people..it really was such a joy! We sang "Because I Have Been Given Much" in Relief Society and I was a crying fool. I couldn't tell you how blessed I felt to be able to come back for Tim's baptism and be in the Westfield ward again! It was a weekend I will never forget! NEVER! Tim looked so happy and I am grateful I got to be part of his journey! So Blessed!!!

Sister Evans and I on the way to Westfield to be there for Tim's Baptism!!! They drove 3 hours to pick us up!!

Tim, Sister Hofeins, and me!

Then as soon as the Dellingers dropped us off at our place (3 hour drive) we hoped in the car with the Sister Training leaders and drove to Layfette (2 1/2 hr drive) for Mission Conference with Elder Perkins. That was incredible!! I learned so much!! He spoke on the power of the Holy Ghost and importance of obedience. We role played a couple times.  (I luckily dodged that bullet) Then he opened up at the end for any questions and that my friends was an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! It was so touching!!  I walked away having a very strong desire to deepen my understanding of the gospel so I could be a powerful instrument in the Lord hands!! How thankful I am!! I was called to bear my testimony at the end..and I think I spoke?!...mainly bawled! Haha Just kidding..the Lord has blessed me with a controlled tear flow-age from time to time...? (What did I just say??) haha I loved it and I learned so much!  I wish I could tell you all the things I learned...but I do know that I know the power of the Atonement is real!!!

How blessed I am and how grateful I feel! Thank you for being such a support to me. I love you all and am grateful to be a full time missionary!! Never again will I get this experience in Indiana. How blessed I feel and am excited to give a little back this week to my Heavenly Father! We are going big! :)
I Love you! Have a great week!
Love,

Sister Clegg the 3rd :)

Sept 15, 2014

Hello!
What a great week for everyone! I am glad to hear everyone is doing well! I will continue to pray for you!

This week was INCREDIBLE! We had lessons with our investigators that I don't even know if I could truly describe. They were truly led by the spirit and filled with moments of tears of hope. This gospel brings so much happiness it is mind blowing!!! Woo...the gospel is true! :)

On Monday, we went and toured Notre Dame and that was really fun! Alex...they didn't let us in the stadium but...I took a picture of the tunnel and will send it to you! :) It was really cool! WE GOT A PICTURE WITH A NUN!! It was fantastic! I will definitely send that picture over your way! :) We were walking along and the nun saw us and said "Sisters...my sisters come here!" haha! It was wonderful!  We got a picture with touch down Jesus and first down Moses...(yes that is a real thing!) haha!

Well...the investigators are doing incredible! Dennis is struggling with the W of W... but, we bought him some fake coffee and he said that it was disgusting but, he was really touched that we did that! haha!!  We tried?

Ed is doing incredible! He is what you call the ELECT! haha,  Truly...we taught him the WOW (w of w) on Sunday and after we committed him to live the WOW -- he said Yep!! ... and just like that he is keeping his commitment! Love that man!

Pat...I love PAT! She just committed to get baptized November 8th and she is incredible! She is 62 and is very humble. I would like to think I would change if God wanted me to at 62...but I can't imagine it would be easy! Wow.. I love her! She is going to need some major prayers for strength to stop smoking. She loves her "breaks" she told me the other day she read two chapters out of the Book of Mormon while smoking...I laughed at her and gave her a big hug...then told her to not do that again! haha!

Over all the work is a work of miracles! I gained a huge testimony this week! This work is not mine! I love it with all my heart and I am grateful I have the Almighty on my side!  I love Sister Evans and I love Mishawka!
The Bishop said he wanted to adopt us and told us we are never allowed to leave! :) I am okay with that! :)
I love you all and think the world of you!
Love,
Sister Clegg :)

Sept 8, 2014

Hello my fellow mates!

Sounds like you are all adjusting to school / work life okay! I am glad to hear you are doing well! YAY! No...bumps or wounds! It was so great to get your letters!!

This week was so good! Boy oh boy! Lots of rain, humidity, and storms! I love Indiana storms! They come quick too...!! We were out tracking one day and it looked like it was going to rain but, we kept knocking and 5 minutes later we were literally soaked! haha!!  If you don't like the weather...wait 15 minutes! If anyone was watching us they would have wondered what was wrong because we were laughing and having the best time ever in the rain! (but it made some room for people to feel bad for us so they let us in... :) haha - so sneaky!

Funny story- we are officially giving too many church tours! haha!!  Sister Evans told me one morning that while I was sleeping gave the entire church tour in my sleep! haha!!  (I do the weirdest things in my sleep I have decided!) Nevertheless those things are inspired and so incredible! :)

Well, Ed is doing so good! He moved his Date to October 18th because his girlfriend is going to be out of town. We tried so hard to convince him otherwise but, I was quickly reminded to look at the eternal perspective of things and be grateful we have someone working towards baptism!! :)

Dennis has a baptismal date! We committed him to live the Word of Wisdom and he is slowly but, surely getting there! We had the neatest experience with him on Saturday. He called and asked for a priesthood blessing.  We called the Elders and they so willingly came over. As the Elders asked what Dennis wanted a blessing for he asked if he could have some direction and strength as he decides to change his life. His humility was so touching to me and I will never forget that blessing that was given that day. The spirit was strong and the words said were truly from our Father in Heaven. I am so thankful for the humility Dennis had ....and the Priesthood that has been restored on this earth! I know Dennis is close to receiving his answer because he desires to know so badly!!!

This week has been so humbling for me ...because of other peoples humility! Between Dennis asking for a blessing... to a less active (who has nothing) paying her tithing. I am so thankful to be part of this work to watch God work through these people and truly change them. There is no greater calling and work then getting front row seats to the greatest application of the Atonement. It is a miracle!! These people are turning to their Savior! How blessed I feel and how thankful I will always be.

Heavenly Father knows us. 3 Nephi 13:32-33 He knows how to change us into people that he know we can become. Our potential is limitless and the opportunity we have to tap into the Atonement is boundless. Jesus Christ can give us strength when we feel like we have nothing. He can make us strong even with all of our imperfections. He is the only way. I know that this restored gospel is the only way to lasting happiness!! This is the only way!

I love you all! You are all an inspiration to me and I thank my Heavenly Father for you every moment of everyday! Have a great week and become better then you were yesterday....because you can-- through Him!!!
Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd

Ps. Tim (Investigators that we taught in Westfield) is getting baptized next weekend! Sep 20th Normally because I am too far away I wouldn't be able to go..but they offered to come and get me! So I am the  luckiest duck and get to go to the baptism! Plus...go back to Westfield and see everyone! I am so excited!!! YAY! Love you all!

Sept 2, 2014

YEA!!!!
WE GOT HER LETTER FINALLY!!     TURNS OUT SHE DID WRITE LAST WEEK BUT FORGOT TO PUSH "SEND"!!!!!
I have realized I am a Monday letter addict- and didn't like not receiving my "Mikesell dose" for the week! I truly missed it!!!! Yea for a "two letter Monday"though!!

HOLA FAMILY!

Oh my...they really do come in threes don't they? Boy! Amy I hope you are doing okay! Wow...scary...okay family....lets talk about this, no more!!!!!!! Everyone be safe, smart, and don't DO ANYTHING! I pray that you are all okay and safe and in good health! Boy oh boy!

This week was incredible! We had Zone conference on Tuesday and that was the BEST thing in the world! It was so good to see President again and all the senior missionaries! There was so many inspired words spoken and I honestly don't know where to start to tell you how good it was! The spirit was so strong and I left feeling inspired to be better and to fulfill my purpose more fully! I will tell you that President is such a COACH! haha We all role played and with the DL, STLS, and ZLs and got filmed as we did so...and then we watched it over and over again...just like we would in the locker room! It was great! We have been filming ourselves everyday in the apartment as we role play now and boy...we have had some good times and I have seem my teaching increase! President is the best!

Okay..time is an issue but I will tell you that Ed (our investigator) is progressing so well! We committed him to get baptized September 12th and we will find out tonight if he feels good about it. He has a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and it has been so touching to see the spirit work through him. He is my favorite! We have a special hand shake and he calls us his favorite girls!  He leaves messages on our phone all the time telling us where he is at in his reading! I love him!!!

Church was incredible this week! Heavenly Father is really blessing us and we had 4 investigators come to church! MAN oh man it was like CHRISTMAS 4 DAYS in a ROW! :) It was so great! I was LOVING it! We have been so blessed! Heavenly Father is working through the weak and simple to bring to pass his work! Thankful!

Well I love you all! I continue to pray for you! Good luck as you have school starting and schedules changed! I know that leaving Redfish is never the easiest thing to do so....good luck. I love you all and couldn't be more grateful for you!

GO GET UM TIGER!

August 25, 2014

Hello Family and loved ones! :)

Hope you had a little less hectic week than the week before!! Congrats Brookie and Austin! You are official!!!  I am so happy for you both! : ) It's everyone's last week before school starts....GO HAVE SOME FUN! (but be safe Alex)  :) I am glad Mom and Dad had a good anniversary! Happy 25!!!

Well..what a wonderful week..SURPRISED? haha!! Sorry if I sound like every week is Heaven on Earth...BUT IT REALLY IS! :)

Monday-For preparation day we went with a less active and got her a dress to wear to church on Sunday...that was really fun and you could tell she was so excited to go out with Sister Missionaries and get a dress! :) She looked great on Sunday and it was so worth it! It had been a couple of years since she has been to church so that was great to see her there! :)

Tuesday- We had exchanges! I loved it! I always love getting new perspectives on missionary work and the way people teach...we had so many miracles that day! We were teaching a 20 year old boy..his name is Orlando (have I talked about him?) But, as we were teaching him...all his friends started to come over....by the end of the lesson we were teaching 6 of his friends! They ALL were asking questions and by the end ALL 6 of them wanted to know more and asked for a copy of the Book of Mormon! MIRACLE! The spirit was strong and those boys were good, honest, truth seeking boys. I am thankful that Orlando has friends! :)

Wednesday- We went to the TEMPLE in Chicago! Boy was it incredible! I am hoping I can get 3 temples in on my mission...(Kentucky, Chicago, and soon to be finished Carmel!) YAY! We went with a Mom..whose family is less active...she is such a strong woman and I admire her so much! Her faith is incredible! She is a recent convert and she is one fire! The days on the mission when you get to go to the temple are UNFORGETTABLE! Truly days where you feel of God's love and are so thankful for the house of the Lord!!

The rest of the week was wonderful! Lots of miracles..that I wish I could tell you ALL about...time is always a issue! We gave two church tours this week and they were both wonderful! We are starting to  give all the members a church tour so they can be thinking of a friend they can invite. I know that missionary work is going to explode because of these tours! :) We already have way more referrals and families who are excited to invite there friends on these tours!

On Saturday we had a Stake Cook Out and there were so many investigators there! I felt like a pig in mud! SO HAPPY! I was loving it! We met a family there who are the MOST SOLID investigators ever! The Bentleys (members)  brought them and I am so excited to teach them! The Mom is the sweetest! YAY for a another family!

Well...folks...it is starting to get VERY HUMID here! We walk out side and wonder who poured a bucket of water on us? haha Pray that I will be able to drink the same amount of water that it in the air!!! haha

Well...I love you all! I want you to know that I know that this gospel has been restored. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that through this book all the of our problems can become solutions. All our pains can find comfort. Any wound that is open can be healed. This Book I know is of God. I know it with all my heart. I will never take for granted this time in my life when I get to wear His name on my shirt and tell people about this Book. He lives and loves us. I am thankful to represent Him.

I hope you have a wonderful week and your challenge for the week is to have a gospel conversation! This message doesn't deserve to be kept quite! TELL EVERYONE!
Love you!

Love,

Sister Clegg the 3rd :)

August 18, 2014

To the ones I love more then I could ever say!

Wow...what a week for the family! As I read your emails my heart sunk and I could barely stand sitting in that library chair, but as I continued reading and found out everyone was okay.  I immediately said a prayer of gratitude and was filled with comfort. Thank you for your faith. I know that miracles do not happen unless there is faith there. So Brenny and Al I know that you have faith. Continue to grow in your faith. I love you so much and can not tell you how thankful I am that you two are okay. I love the mission but... hearing things like that scared the heck out of me!!!! BE SAFE!!!!!

I understand Miss Ash Clegg is home! Welcome Home Ash! Brookie...Congratulations! Wow! I cannot believe...another one bites the dust!! Cass and I decided we are thankful we will be there for each other's wedding..since everyone else is getting married!!!! haha!! I am happy for you Brookie...I just wish I could be there! :)

What a week!! We had so many good things! We continue to find people who are ready for the gospel! We got 6 new investigators and they all happened in such miraculous ways! We are teaching so many right now!  I have LOVED it! I find that I love my days so much better when I get to teach as much as possible! There is no greater joy!!!!

Miracle- So the Indiana Missionaries have been practicing a "church tour" for about three months now. There is certain art work involved with pictures in the church...it it a script we have had to memorize and it is just AWESOME! Any how....we are just starting to give them! We finally have all the art work in all the chapels!! (It has been a huge project!) So, we gave a tour to Vicky. (A part member family...husband is less active) and as we were giving the tour...we got to the baptismal font and gave a restoration lesson and committed her to be baptized at the end! She accepted and was so sweet! I will never forget the spirit that was there that day! Wow...church tours are incredible and so inspired! We have 6 tours of the church lined up for this week with new investigators and less active members! They are so special! President Cleveland is a very inspired man!

I don't have a ton of time because I had to read every email to make sure Brenny and Alex were okay! But this week we are going to the Chicago temple with a member! I am so excited! It is going to be a blast!

Mom and Dad! Happy Anniversary! I can not tell you how much you both mean to  me and the best friends you are in my life! I will continue to pray so much for you and the family! I love you!

I love you all! I know that God lives and answers prayers through other people.  I can not tell you how many times we ran into people this week who truly NEEDED the gospel!!  I am grateful to be a instrument! I know that the Lord works through the weak and simple. I love you and please be safe! Have a great week getting married, sitting on the couch (because your toe is currently not fully attached), working out in the fields with a little bump on your head, answering phones in that cute little front desk, and eating sand covered ice cream cones- the Harry way! :) LOVE YOU!
Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd (I have decided I will always be the third...Ash you will always be the 1st and Cass...2nd!) Once a sister missionary always a sister missionary! :)

(For those not understanding all of this letter...)

Brennen had an accident at work on Tuesday late afternoon. He took a chain saw to left toe. He experienced a true miracle in being able to keep his toe. He went through a 2 hour surgery in Ketchum. They sewed two tendons together on the top of his toe, the chain saw had missed the artery, sewed the jagged skin somehow back together and now has a pin in his toe. He needs to wear a surgery boot and have the pin in for 3-4 weeks. Turns out you REALLY need your big toe for balance and walking etc! Who knew he would be so blessed to keep it!? They always wear chaps and protective eye wear when using the chainsaws...but he did not have steal toed boots on. He will be getting them now for sure!!! Lessons learned and miracles felt!!

On Thursday morning our family had been camping with Jeff's parents around the corner from our cabin. I got up with Alex when he left for work at 6am and got in the car and had prayer with him before he left. He went to work from 6:30-9am and was heading home. He fell asleep driving on the way home. He was going 65 mph on cruise control. He went off to the right, over corrected, and went sideways across the road to the left. He then went airborne and landed sideways into a large willow bush and the creek. He then jumped the creek in his car again and landed on the other side of the creek and landed into another willow bush. When he "came to" he was in the backseat of the car with his left leg up on the drivers seat. The drivers seat had broken and was laying flat on the backseat. He thought he had put his seat belt on before he left..but he had not. How he lived and survived is a true miracle. He climbed out of the broken window and began walking up to the road. Coincidentally (not a coincidence) a friend of his from Jerome, Parker Sheer, was driving past on the way to work on a house for work that day up here in Stanley. He recognized Alex walking onto the road and immediately pulled over. When Jeff and I arrived to the accident - the ambulance, fire crew, etc. with lights flashing were all there. (a parents nightmare) Alex was in the ambulance getting checked over to make sure he was okay. Jeff took him to Ketchum and he had a CT scan to make sure he was okay especially with his concussion history with basketball....but he basically has a small bump on his head and a small mark on his back....that is it. I am speechless. We have been reminded of the protecting hand of our Heavenly Father. We remain on borrowed blessings. We have learned many lessons and have been very humbled by Heavenly Fathers love for His children.

August 11, 2014

Hola!

Wow! What a week you all have had....ups and downs!! My thoughts and prayers sure go to Mike Deeres family. What a sad story. Glad you traveled safe to the funeral Dad and Mom. I pray for all those moments and for you all! Holy Moly.....ASH COMES HOME????? Didn't she just leave?  I cannot believe time on the mission...it just flies by! Brooky is getting married soon and life is flyin' by!  Please tell Ash I love her so much and I am so proud of her! She was an incredible missionary and her example strengthens me every day! I hope her adjustment is smooth.  I am already scared for that day! Thank goodness I have a little while! :)
We had a wonderful week! Wow! Nora got baptized!!! Her parents gave her a run for her money..but never have I seen such faith! She stayed so strong! Her parents took away her car and did not come to the baptism...but we saw her every day and the Lord really strengthen her! She looked so bright on Saturday! I know Heavenly Father was proud of her! I knew it! I am proud of her and she has become a very good friend of mine!

This week was incredible! I don't even know where to start as far as the miracles we have seen! We have done A LOT of "finding" this week because the investigators that were being taught previously were all about social visits.  I am not as much about that when it come to missionary work ...so we exercised our faith to go out and find those elect investigators and I do believe we found them! We found three families this week and two other investigators who are very humble and very teachable! It was incredible to watch the Lord put us where we are supposed to go! We are really trying to build up the ward right now, so we had made plans to visit a lot of less actives. However, a lot of them were not home so we went tracking and found some incredible people! It was a fun week!  I truly walked away from every conversation and looked up at the blue sky and wondered how I got to lucky to share this message.

I thought of a scripture as I went about doing this work this week. Helaman 7:29  I know this is a message of truth we share and hold in our lives. I know that this is the only way to joy, peace, and real direction!
I love Sister Evans...I love Mishawaka.  I love being a sister missionary!!! Every day when I write in my journal I reflect on the miracles I get to witness.   I know that with out a doubt that this is God's work! I love it and honored to be a instrument! I pray you will all have a wonderful week! I love you all more then I can say! Thank you for always being there and showing your love for Heavenly Father! That is all that really matters...

I love you! Have a great week!

Love,

Sister Clegg the 3rd.....(Does this mean next week..I will be Sister Clegg the 2nd...? Cass..then me??? Moving up in the world???) Haha-- I LOVE YOU!

August 4, 2014

Well Hello my fellow mates!!

What a week! :) I haven't read your emails this week yet so I don't know how you all are yet...but I trust you had a good week and that all is well!!!

So...new changes! I am in Mishawaka, Indiana. It is about 3 hours North of Carmel and it is a great little town! (Allie..remember when you guessed Michigan?...I have some of it in my area!)  Lots of Indian history here and some classic "Hoosiers"... I will explain what that means when I get home!  It is way different from Carmel. Carmel was the NICEST area in Indiana.  Mishawka... ummm lets just say there are a lot more humble people here? I love it and am excited to see what miracles Heavenly Father has in store!
My companion is Sister Evans...President surprised me and I am training again. She is from Salt Lake and is the sweetest thing! I am really excited about the time we get to spend together! Sister Hofheins stayed in Westfield..she promised me she would make sure Tim got baptized still.   (I have his phone number and address just in case!) haha!

I really like the Mishawaka ward...the Bishop was born in JEROME! :) Weird? Our ward mission leader served his mission in Jerome!  haha! Who would have thought!

The work is going really well...we are pulling the "we are new missionaries" card and getting into all the homes so we can learn who everyone is as soon as possible! We have a lot of work to do...the chapel was very empty yesterday when we went to church. We have seen God's grace so much though this week! We found some awesome new investigators and Nora (who was investigating the church prior to us coming) committed to get baptized this SATURDAY! She is the sweetest thing! She is 18 years old and I love her already! Her parents are really struggling with her decision to get baptized...so will you all pray for her parents heart to be soften?

Overall this week has been a MAJOR rely on the Lord week! It was hard to leave my Westfield....and  now we have so much to learn that I just turned it all over to the Lord.  I have grown in testimony of the Atonement! I gained so much strength from the Savior that me, myself, and I could not have had. I am so thankful to have someone, my Savior who can give me strength. I need him and I am so thankful that He IS ALWAYS there! I love this work! I am motivated and inspired to go to work! I plan on being a instrument in the Lord's hand this week as much as possible!
I love you all! You really do all mean the world to me! I can not thank you enough for your prayers and the things you do for me!
Love you so much!  I am ALWAYS praying for you!
Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd
