Okay lets start this thing out right by saying Alex...that was a CRAZY shot! Oh my word! I literally watched that thing 50 million times! haha THAT WAS SO COOL! I will be looking for it on Top 10!! :) Good work...way to make Sister Clegg proud!

(Alex's full court shot that she is talking about)

Congrats on the Baptism down in J-town! UGH...I LOVE BAPTISMS!

Update:

So, transfers calls have been made...and I am staying at Purdue University! Sister Hunt is leaving. I will miss her... boy will I miss her!! 4 1/2 months together...that's pretty good! :) But, she has to go bless someone else life and I get a new companion to love to death! YAY!

Sister Hunt and Sister Clegg

This week was so good! Freezing...but good!! Luckily we just personal contacted around the Institute Building and share our little "intro"  and then pull people into the building.  We have gotten really good at 5 minute Restoration lessons! :) Crazy cold outside!!

1.)  Erika is doing great! Ivy as well!! Erika- March 7 is her baptism date and Ivy is talking to her parents as we speak to choose a date!! We are being very blessed right now..this is going to be a big transfer! : )

2.) We had Zone conference! Sister Hunt and I were asked to give a training on the importance of members and their involvement in missionary work and so that was a blessing! I learned a lot and I hope the missionaries did as well!! Dad  I shared you PMMFI (Pretending that "Please Make Me Feel Important" is written on everyone's forehead) story and everyone loved it! Best story ever! :) After our amazing training we had by the APs and President....we had a good old basketball tournament!! I may not have hit the buzzor shot like Al did...but I was close!! President was proud! haha!! March Madness...Boy do I have a cool mission President!! : )

Sister Hunt, President Cleveland, and Sister Clegg

3.) Sister Warner and I got to go on one last exchange together and guess who we saw?? BEVERLY AND CARLOS! From Carmel! They came up to have dinner with us and it was the best thing in the entire world! I loved being all together again!! Carlos is actually doing really well spiritually. God is answering prayers! : ) It was so fun and It was good to be with Sister Warner as well!! She is flying home tomorrow. Weird. I love that girl! :)

4.) Miracle- One of the girls on a date is named Felicity. She is from China and she is adorable! We have taught her only once and she expressed to us how alone she has been or at least felt. We watched the Restoration video in Chinese with her and by the end the spirit was so strong and peaceful. She had tears flowing down her face and she said she knew that in that moment she was not alone. We taught her about baptism and before we could invite her, she asked if she could get baptized! She is so prepared and needs the blessings of the Holy Ghost! Very badly! I love her and I am so excited for her to progress! That was so special for Sister Hunt and I.

Well, I just want to express my gratitude for My Heavenly Father and the blessings He is giving us and me personally. Everyday when I account to Him in my night prayers I realize how much He blessed me and this work.  I don't have words to describe the blessings He has given me and I continue to always learn to Love Him more and more!! Because I do love Him!! I am thankful for my Father in Heaven. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my earthly Father and Mother. I am thankful for my family. For Austin, Amy, Brennen, Alex, Harrison, and McCall. For everyone in my life!!! I do feel your prayers and they are working!! I love these people in Indiana with my whole heart!!! I love the gospel that I share 24-7. I love my companion and my Mission President!!

I am so thankful for all that I have! I love you all and I continue to pray for you! Thank you for all you do for me! :)

Love,

Sister Clegg :)

P.S. So my coming home date is August 11th
(The Indiana temple open house goes through Aug 8th!)

Wow!

This week was wonderful! Did you know that on Valentines Day last year we found Dirk?? That snow storm day where we couldn't drive our cars and we stopped and helped a man shovel his driveway!!  I literally LOVE Valentines Day now! It is the best thing in the entire world! :) Sister Warner and I called him on Valentine's Day and that was such a special conversation. He thanked and us and was so, so sweet!
Sister Hunt and I in our Valentine Get Up!

Okay..overview of the week!

1. Monday- we went with Bishop Cramer (Dad's missionary companion) to ice cream and boy was that fun! Dad...How come you didn't tell me you were such an incredible missionary? haha! You didn't have to...I already knew!

2. Stephanie (one of the girls who walked into church) is incredible!!! We taught her and she is soo prepared it is ridiculous! We see her tomorrow and I cannot wait. We are going to put her on a date and hopefully she will soar on through! :)

3. Okay..this was the coolest thing...so we were personal contacting one day and we were talking to this man named Sam. He has a pretty rough life and is really looking for some hope. We were teaching him about the Book of Mormon and right in the middle of our contact Ivy (our Investigator) popped in on it! She said Hi to Sam and then we asked her if she would bear her testimony of The Book of Mormon and man was that one of the most powerful testimonies I have ever heard! She told Sam how it has changed her life and how she knows she know Christ better because of that Book!! It was so special! :) That was one of my favorite personal contacts!

4. Speaking of Ivy! She is doing great! We have a lesson with her on Wednesday and she said she is coming to the lesson with a baptismal date! So, we are so excited for her! :)

5. We got to see one of our former investigators-Katie! I have missed her so much! she wanted to see us and she had some questions! We didnt get a return appointment with her but, we went with her to her church on Sunday and so we are really in close communication with her. Pray she will recognize WHY we have the answers! I love her!

6. The temple was incredible!!! We went to the Chicago temple with Watson! We took his Grandma and Grandpas names and I took 10 of our family names! (P.S. When I printed off the card..one of the names was from INDIANA!... so I have some research to do!) Awesome! That day was the best and it was so special! The car ride was also the best thing in the world! haha...They were all rocking out to soft Chinese music and speaking Chinese the whole time. Sister Hunt and I just died laughing! I love my Chinese! :) I love Purdue! :)

Man this week was the best week ever! SO many good things are happening here and we are truly being blessed!   I have a testimony of this work! It is not mine, and that is why it is working! I love this gospel!! I love sharing the first vision on random spots of campus. I love the scripture and the opportunity we have to talk to our loving Heavenly Father everyday!

This week we find out about transfers. I have been with Sister Hunt for 4 and half months....you think we could go 6?? :)

I love you all and think the world of you! :)
There is no greater work than bringing others closer to Christ! :)

Love you!

FAMILY!

Holy! I feel like you all grew up 5 years this week! :) Brenny's senior night and my little baby sister is entering the two digit numbers! WHO SAID YOU COULD GROW UP? You all sound like you are all doing good and I miss you all!

This week was awesome! Wow! :) Ivy didn't get baptized like she was supposed to...but, I know she will. I actually had a really touching experience with her. We were talking on the phone and I asked her if she would say a prayer over the phone and she said one of the most heartfelt sincere prayers. She wants direction. I won't forget the conversations we had in that moment in time. I will tell you all about it in person. It is one of those that paper does no justice! (Lets face it...that is the story of my mission and trying to explain what happened everyday!?) Please pray for her will you?  She just NEEDS TO GET IN THE WATER! I have tried everything and almost from every angle, but I am not giving up! The Lord knows her....we will continue to press forward! :)

Okay so random event but...Sister Hunt and I were able to go play soccer with the Purdue soccer team this week! haha! We are teach a girl from the team and she said we could come play with her and the girls and President gave us the okay ...so we did! :) (Erika is the investigator we are teaching on the team!) Did I play??? NOOOOO! haha!!  I fetched the balls for the team and so they never stopped playing the whole time! (they kept me running!) haha!!  I was the ultimate "ball girl"!!   I loved it! Sister Hunt did incredible and it was really fun! :) We actually had some really good gospel conversations just by simply introducing who we were! There is no way that we would have been able to have the conversations that we did if we were just on campus with the whole soccer team. It was so cool! I had a thought after we left that those girls would accept the gospel or let missionaries in one day down the road (or hopefully ASAP) because of the "unique" encounter they had with sister missionaries while attending Purdue. It was a cool thought. If Sister Hunt is leaving this transfer then I need to learn how to play soccer real quick! haha!!
So, that was really fun! :)

We are having a lot of grace right now! We had another girl just "walk" into church yesterday and we now have a new investigator. That is the 3rd time that has happened! Three weeks in a row! I don't know why or how..but I am thankful and will continue to recognize the Lord in EVERYTHING! We are being so blessed!

I think what I want to bear my testimony this week of the scriptures! I have found so much comfort, peace, clarity, and direction from those sacred words of the prophets. I love those records of the Savior. I know they are true and contain the path for eternal life! I love them and I take that hour of personal study so sacred and special to me! It is the best time of the day! (Well ...maybe...it all is pretty dang good!) I am thankful for scripture!
"If you want to talk to God... pray! If you want Him to talk to you...open up the scriptures!"

I love you all! McCall have a wonderful Birthday! Expect something in the mail! I love you and wish I could give you a big bear hug for your birthday but, I will in my heart! :)

I love you!
Love,
Sister Clegg

P.S. I am so excited for this week..Watson (recent convert) and us are going to the temple to do baptisms together! We are SO PUMPED! He has family names and so do I! :) Whoo!!!

Feb 2, 2015

Hello My Family that I love more then anything in this whole world! :)

Everyone sounds healthy and happy! I am so glad to hear that! :) You are such great examples to me..I love my family and friends in the west! :)

This week was awesome! I got to go on exchanges on Tuesday with Sister Warner on campus..and "it fit just like a glove"!!  It was awesome! My very first companion and trainer! We talked to so many students and during our lunch break you will never guess who we went and saw? CARLOS (from Westfield) :) :) He works in Lafayette so we went and surprised him! Oh my gosh it was so good to see him! I love him! It was the best thing ever! We also got to see Sister Wells! Stars kind of just aligned and we got to see all of them! :) WHOO! We found some awesome investigators and I love Sister Warner so much! She is incredible! She has two and half weeks left on her mission and she is going strong! I am proud of her! :)

Miracle....we were with a recent convert and we were working on Personal Progress with her under the value of "faith"  and as we were reading Joseph Smith History. She began to get all teary eyed and stopped and looked at me right in the eyes and said in her cute Chinese way, "I have been a  member for a year now, but I am just barely finding out that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that He did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!" I couldn't stop smiling! I was so happy for her! She has a testimony of one of the greatest truths of the gospel and that is of the restorations of the true church! I was so happy for her and I love her so much! ahhh! :)

Ivy is doing okay...she has such a strong testimony but she is flirting with "just waiting".  I don't know what for though. We are praying and fasting for her so much! Erica came to church and she loved it! She is on the Purdue soccer team and so we are actually going to go hit up the team this week and play with them! haha! She is doing great and progressing really well!

We have a lot that are still flirting with being a progressing investigator..but we will continue to work hard and see miracles!
I love you all and am thankful for you!
Love,
Sister Clegg
