How are you? Sounds like everyone had a good week! Grandma Daw Happy 95th birthday! Wow! I can't even tell you with the 95 years you have lived how much you have impacted millions of people. I continue to be changed for the better because of you and I love you very much! :) Happy Birthday!!! I will be thinking of you!
Alex...GO GET UM AT STATE! Yay! You are going to do awesome! I will be praying that you will take it all home! :) Love you and good luck!
Well..I would imagine you would like to know where I am at? Who I am with...and What am I doing? haha! With transfers last Wednesday...a very understandable question!!!
I am serving on campus!!! I am at Purdue University and I love it! I cannot tell you how much campus life is so much different then family wards.....like night and day! All of a sudden I don't know how to be a missionary! haha!! But, I am learning slowly but surely! :)
My companion!!!! (Dad remember that one time when you told me a girl from the BYU Soccer Team is going to the same mission that I was?) YEP....SHE IS MY COMPANION!! YAY! Sister Hunt from Bountiful, Utah. This was an answer to a prayer! We have worked out every morning and we are like two peas in a pod! I love her! I am so excited to work hard of Purdue's campus! I believe President Boren went to grad school here?
Well, some miracles....boy where do I begin!? Campus is so different! All of my mission I have served in areas where it is a pretty high Christian ratio. All of them had a believe in Jesus Christ or at least were very familiar about who He is. Here on campus...not the case. There are a lot of people here from China, who have never even heard of Jesus Christ or God. It breaks my heart. But, I have gained such a different perspective on truly how special the knowledge and how much I will treasure the fact that I know what God is and that there is one!
We were teaching a girl named Sitan this week and she had no religious background nor belief and as we were teaching her about God and that He know her, her eyes lit up in a way that I will never forget! She was so hungry for truth! She kept on saying REALLY! WOW! She asked if she could pray to God anytime and as we answered yes, she started crying. We then told her about the Savior and how He has felt everything she has and that she was never alone. She was filled with such hope! As she walked out of that lesson, I couldn't help but, to kneel down and offer a prayer of gratitude! How grateful I am to know God lives! How grateful I am to tell her that God lives. How grateful I am to know truth! I will never, ever forget that. It was a mission changer for me.
Well, Miracles like Sitan happen everyday here on campus and guess what I GET TO DO? Tell them that same wonderful message everyday! Man...life doesn't get much better then that! I am truly so happy! I miss Mishawaka....but campus is going to make me a better missionary... so I am excited!
I love you!
You are all the best! :)
Love,
Sister Clegg the 3rd :)
